Carbon Action Welcomes Canadian Ambassador

The Chris Mee Group (incorporating CARBON ACTION and CMSE), welcomed a visit by Canadian Ambassador Loyola Hearn and Senior Canadian Trade Commissioner Suzanne Cormie to further develop existing trade links between the Group and other companies. The Chris Mee Group currently has an exclusive agreement to provide the acclaimed Canadian Standards Association (CSA) training in Carbon Emissions throughout Ireland and the UK.

Commenting on the visit, Ambassador Hearn said "There have always been strong links between Canada and Ireland with a huge population of Irish having settled in our country even before the famine. The Irish were the first to fish off the shores of Canada and we opened our ports to them. In recent years we have seen these ties grow stronger with the increase of young Irish moving to Canada. We have always had a good relationship with Cork and Ireland and work well together. We feel there is potential for more opportunities to be harvested between the two countries which will be beneficial to both of us."

Chris Mee, Chief Executive of The Chris Mee Group, added: "We are delighted to welcome the Ambassador to our Cork offices. As we work on a number of large scale projects, both nationally and internationally, it is paramount that we are at the forefront of training. Our trade links with Canada helped facilitate our transition to the newly emerging area of green energy and carbon management. We understand the need for international links to develop as a business and we are happy to assist other like-minded businesses to introduce them to the Canadian market."
